Cheek Filler
Overview
The natural aging process often causes a loss of skin elasticity and volume, particularly noticeable in the cheeks, leading to a sunken or hollow appearance. One of the most effective ways to restore or enhance your cheeks is through dermal fillers. These fillers are highly effective at replenishing lost volume and creating a natural-looking contour.
Candidates
Ideal candidates are individuals who are looking to add definition, volume, or contour to their cheeks for a more youthful or sculpted appearance. As well as those who have experienced volume loss in the midface due to aging, leading to a sunken or hollow appearance and want to enhance their cheeks without undergoing invasive surgery like cheek implants.
FAQ
How do I prepare for my treatment?
Avoid drinking alcohol and taking any blood-thinning medications and supplements, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil, and certain herbal supplements, for at least a week before your treatment, unless advised otherwise by your doctor. These can increase the risk of bruising. Schedule any major dental work or facial treatments (like facials, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels) at least two weeks before or after your filler appointment to prevent any complications. If you have an important event coming up, schedule your filler appointment at least 2-4 weeks in advance to allow any swelling or bruising to subside.
What should I expect after my treatment?
You may experience some redness and swelling in the treated areas, which is typically mild but can vary depending on the individual and the extent of the treatment. These effects are usually easy to conceal with cosmetics and generally subside within a few days. There is typically minimal downtime and you can usually resume your normal routine immediately after treatment.
Will the results look natural?
Our goal is to enhance your appearance in a way that subtly highlights your natural beauty, without appearing overdone or fake. We aim to restore lost volume or refine your features in a subtle way, allowing you to look and feel your best while maintaining a natural look.
How long do the results last?
The results of cheek fillers typically last between 6 to 18 months, depending on the type of filler used and your body’s natural metabolism. People with faster metabolisms may notice the effects of the filler diminishing sooner. Factors such as sun exposure, smoking, and overall skin health can also impact how long the results last. To maintain the desired look, you may need touch-up treatments periodically.
Does cheek filler hurt?
There is typically no pain to mild discomfort during the cheek filler treatment. You may have some soreness at the treated site for several days.
Elegance is the only beauty that never fades.
