Overview

Jawline fillers can create a more defined and sculpted jawline, enhancing the natural contours of the face. By adding volume and structure to the jawline, fillers can help create a more balanced and symmetrical appearance, aligning the jawline with other facial features.

Candidates for Jawline Filler

Candidates for jawline filler include those who want a more defined and sculpted jawline. This procedure is especially beneficial for individuals who feel their natural jawline is weak or lacks definition. It can also benefit certain individuals who are noticing early signs of aging, such as the start of sagging skin or jowls along the jawline, and wish to achieve a more lifted and youthful appearance without surgery.

Types of Filler Used at the Jawline

For enhancing the jawline, we typically use thicker fillers like hyaluronic acid-based options or Radiesse. Some of the common hyaluronic acid fillers we use include Voluma, Restylane Contour, RHA-4, and Lyft. While Radiesse is not a hyaluronic acid filler and is not dissolvable, it is exceptionally dense, making it ideal for creating maximum definition.

FAQ

How do I prepare?
Avoid drinking alcohol and taking any blood-thinning medications and supplements, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil, and certain herbal supplements, for at least a week before your treatment, unless advised otherwise by your doctor. These can increase the risk of bruising. Schedule any major dental work or facial treatments (like facials, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels) at least two weeks before or after your filler appointment to prevent any complications. If you have an important event coming up, schedule your filler appointment at least 2-4 weeks in advance to allow any swelling or bruising to subside.
What should I expect after my treatment?
You may experience some redness and swelling in the treated areas, which is typically mild but can vary depending on the individual and the extent of the treatment. These effects are usually easy to conceal with cosmetics and generally subside within a few days. There is typically minimal downtime and you can usually resume your normal routine immediately after treatment.
Will the results look natural?
Our goal is to enhance your appearance in a way that subtly highlights your natural beauty, without appearing overdone or fake. We aim to restore lost volume or refine your features in a subtle way, allowing you to look and feel your best while maintaining a natural look.
How long do the results last?
The results of jawline fillers typically last between 6 to 18 months, depending on the type of filler used and your body’s natural metabolism. People with faster metabolisms may notice the effects of the filler diminishing sooner. Factors such as sun exposure, smoking, and overall skin health can also impact how long the results last. To maintain the desired look, you may need touch-up treatments periodically.
Does jawline filler hurt?
There is typically no pain to mild discomfort during the jawline filler treatment. You may have some soreness at the treated site for several days.
